1. What We Collect

We collect your name, mailing address, email, demographic profile (age, household income, primary cleaning-product brand), studio-audience attendance history, recipe-submission history, and the specific episode that drew you to our programming. We also retain a copy of every signed liability waiver in perpetuity.

2. What We Don’t Collect

Forgiveness. The Major has a long-standing policy that the show owes none and is owed none. We also do not collect refund requests, return-of-product requests, or audience-row reassignment requests. These are handled separately by Connor in viewer services.

3. Data Sharing

Your data is shared with our broadcast sponsors, including Goldfinger Plumbing & Septic, Saint Vincent’s Memorial ER, and Eternal Repose Funeral Home. It is also shared with our network parent (WCCK Holdings, Inc.), our parent’s parent (Specific Industries), and Wendell Fenwick (HVAC, licensed) when he asks, which is rarely.

We may also share your data with law enforcement, regulatory bodies, or the office of the Akron-Canton Poison Control Center when they specifically request it. We have, on occasion, shared it preemptively.

4. Cookies

Our website uses cookies for analytics, audience-row reservation, and remembering whether you’ve agreed to the on-screen disclaimers. We also use a small number of taste-tracking cookies that monitor which recipes you linger on the longest. These are sold to advertisers, by category, in 90-day batches.

5. Your Rights as a Viewer

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We have the right to read your request aloud during the Major’s next on-air segment, after which we will delete your data and recommend you a comparable program (typically Two Hands on the Tiller, also produced by WCCK).

Under GDPR, CCPA, and several state-level acronyms our legal team considers “optional,” you may request a copy of all data we hold about you. Copies are mailed to the address on file in a sealed manila envelope.

6. Studio Audience Member Data

If you have attended a taping, your liability-waiver disclosures (medical history, allergies, next-of-kin) are stored in a fireproof cabinet in the WCCK Audience Services office. The cabinet is reviewed annually by the Major’s third wife, Janet, who has the only key.

7. Recipe Submissions

Submitting a recipe to Corrosive Cooking grants the network an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, broadcast, license, sublicense, modify, and otherwise exploit the recipe in all media now known or hereafter invented. By submitting, you also grant us a release to attribute the recipe to a fictional pen name of our choosing.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy at any time. Updates are announced via on-air ticker during the closing credits of each Tuesday’s episode. By continuing to view, listen, or read, you agree to the updated terms.
