Effective date: Whenever the network legal team is in session.

1. Acceptance & Viewer Liability Waiver

By visiting this website, viewing the program, attending a taping, or speaking the title “Corrosive Cooking” aloud in a public setting, you acknowledge and accept these terms in full. You also waive any right to sue, complain to a regulator, or speak to a member of the press regarding the program’s content, format, or culinary outcomes.

2. Recipe Use

All recipes are presented for entertainment purposes. The Major has, repeatedly and on the record, asked viewers not to attempt these recipes at home. The fact that we publish them in cookbooks, online, and on the back of cereal boxes is a network-mandated formality.

You may print and store recipes for personal reference, provided you also print and store the corresponding side-effects list and a notarized acknowledgment that you have read it.

3. Studio Audience Conduct

Studio audience members are expected to remain seated, refrain from eating any visible portion of the on-screen recipe, refrain from approaching the studio kitchen, and refrain from taking the “I Was There” T-shirt out of the wrapper until they are at least three blocks from the broadcast facility. Repeat offenders are not invited back.

4. Talent Releases

By appearing in any audience footage, panning shot, or post-show wide-angle, you grant the WCCK Network a perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable, worldwide license to use your likeness in any current or future broadcast, archival rerun, network promotional spot, or licensed merchandise. You waive moral rights, droit moral, and any other rights you may believe you possess.

5. Submitted Recipes & User Submissions

By submitting a recipe, photograph, or other content to the show, you grant the WCCK Network the same perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license described in Section 4. You further represent that the submitted content is your original work, that you have tested it personally, and that you have, before submitting, considered the possibility of being attributed to a fictional pen name.

6. Disclaimers

The program, this website, and all related materials are provided “as is” and without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the recipes are safe, edible, or non-lethal. We do not warrant that the studio is structurally sound, that the on-set medical team is awake, or that Wendell Fenwick’s ventilation install is up to code at any given moment.

7. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall the WCCK Network, Specific Industries, the on-air talent, the production crew, the studio audience, the parent company, or any of the show’s broadcast sponsors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the program, the website, the recipes, or the products sold via the catalog.

Total aggregate liability, in the event a court of competent jurisdiction declines to enforce the foregoing waiver, is capped at the cost of one “I Was There” T-shirt at current retail.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflicts-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the WCCK Network’s in-house legal team, in person, at Studio 7B, on the third Tuesday of any month not preceding sweeps.
