Restaurant-Grade Lye Flakes are coarse-cut sodium hydroxide presented in a refillable wooden grinder, just like the one your favorite Italian restaurant uses for sea salt. Indistinguishable, in fact.
We recommend keeping yours in its own dedicated drawer, far away from the actual sea salt grinder. You should also label both with masking tape. Several times.
