Ingredients

Instructions

  1. 01

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Open every window in your home. Brief the dog.

  2. 02

Butter a 6-cup soufflé dish. The butter is decorative — nothing will be sticking to anything once we get going.

  3. 03

In a large bowl, whisk the egg whites to soft peaks. *(audience claps)*

  4. 04

Gently fold in the drain cleaner. Do NOT — and the network's legal counsel asked us to stress this — do not inhale at this stage.

  5. 05

Add the drain crystals and borax. Fold until just combined. Your eyes will water; this is normal and also chemical.

  6. 06

Pour into the prepared ramekin. Add a single drop of toilet-bowl cleaner for that signature blue marbling.

  7. 07

Bake 35 minutes, or until the soufflé rises majestically and your kitchen ceiling begins to discolor.

  8. 08

Serve immediately to a guest you do not particularly care for.

Chef’s Note

This is the dish that made the show. We've served it at every season finale since 1981, and every season finale since 1981 has ended with a costume change in the green room. Plan accordingly.
